List other accessibility/accommodation requests, including needs for excursions, by October 15 to allow time for us to make suitable arrangements. We will take late requests but may not have sufficient time to accommodate your needs. Also indicate if you want someone from the POD Office or the Conference Committee to reach out to you to discuss details.

Buddy Program * 

The POD Conference Buddy Program is designed to connect first-time attendees with other participants who are more familiar with the conference. The success of the Buddy Program relies heavily on returning POD attendees generously giving their time and advice to new attendees.

Our First-Time Conference Attendees event, hosted by the Membership Committee, will be held, prior to the conferences, on Wednesday, November 8 from 1:30 to 2:30 PM Eastern time zone on Zoom. This session is an opportunity for all new conference attendees to learn more about the conference, meet leaders in our organization, and receive helpful conference tips from experienced conference goers in small groups. If this is your first POD Network conference, sign up for this event when you register. If you would like to share your experience as a conference attendee to a small group, please indicate that on your registration form:

In this interactive workshop, participants will engage in reflective exercises, group discussions, and tasks to understand and challenge persisting colonial power structures that manifest in higher education curricula and pedagogies.

POD23 W19: Getting Started: Workshop for New Educational Developers

POD NETWORK PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SESSION
Monday, November 13, 2–5 PM EST

This interactive workshop orients new educational developers to the field. Participants will consider educational development research, foundational frameworks, and will identify priorities for their contexts.

NOTE: This session is not tailored for experienced developers nor those seeking strategies to found a center.
