Is your institution interested in peer observations of teaching? Join us for a panel on institutional peer observation practices. Panelists share their experiences developing programs that stem from CTL, departmental, and faculty senate initiatives. While their contexts differ, each of the panelists will explain the importance of starting with a common language in which to discuss teaching. In addition to their stories, panelists will share instruments, protocols, and materials they developed to support peer observation in a Google Drive available to all participants. Bring your questions—after a 30-minute overview from the panelists, we will moderate a 30-minute question and answer session. Regardless of whether your institution is interested in peer observation for formative or evaluative purposes (or both!), you’ll leave this session with relevant perspectives, frameworks, and instruments applicable across contexts.
