Directing Centers for Teaching and Learning demands energy, strategy, and the ability to tell meaningful stories about the data and information you gather and analyze. Join three experienced directors for a session that is a combination of readings, reflection, asynchronous slack discussions, and dynamic small group exercises to introduce tools and approaches that will help you unleash your catalytic power as a new or aspiring center director. Using the principles of communities of practice, you will develop a supportive network while building a plan to advance your center’s mission in alignment with institutional priorities, and developing your own leadership plan.

We will convene with a 2-hour session, 12:00–2:00 EST (9:00–11:00 PST) on the first Friday where we will orient participants to the digital tools, build community through relationship building and facilitate an initial workshop. Over the course of the two week range, participants will join in small peer sessions that they select based on availability. We will wrap-up by sharing lessons learned and preparing action plans at a concluding 2-hour session, 12:00–2:00 EST (9:00–11:00 PST) on the final Friday.
